Iggwilv
Iggwilv is located in a spire of Sneedles Castle.
A giant summoning circle takes up the entire floor. Stakes with various reagents, rare minerals, crystals, and incense surround it.
She has been trying to manipulate Sneedle, but he is seemingly immune to any effects of binding, mental or spiritual manipulation. However, she has grown a liking to him, and now enjoys his simple company, and spends her days studying.
Walking up, every surface has creatures watching, following, shifting on the walls and furniture.
Iggwilv is part of the Circle Of Eight. Star (Kava) is her daughter.
She explains the situation to the players:
- We began the research as we found a truth of them. The gods, Aine and Elatha, they are dying. Slowly. Not every soul is re-incarnated. They consume some to keep themselves alive. However, a finite amount of souls exist. It is only a matter of time before there are few beings left in the universe.
- We were frightened initially. We began to research, everything.
- Renaxis, my husband, found a path. It drove him mad. Every day that passed, I recognized him less. He was on the verge of beginning the process before we had to intervene.
- We entombed him. Cast the tomb into the heart of a meteor, and sent that meteor down, deep, into the planet. We thought he could not be found ever again.
- He seemed to ignore the fact that ascension itself will cause a tear between realities. Where mind meets reality. Everything you think of, fear, imagine, technically exists. Every fragment of every thought is manifest in the astral plane. Of course, few are spiritually powerful enough to ever produce anything of substance there.
- However, the final step of ascension would in theory cause a complete shift. You would lose your body, an the entire astral realm, a culmination of every thought, fear, evil, would bleed over to reality as you change into a being of pure spiritual power. Pure thought.
Your eyes will cease. Your body, vanish. You will no longer sense the world, for you will have become the world.
Such step is cataclysmic. We feared the gods dying - but then what, what would we rule over? A world in chaos.
And now, I don't even know. Will Aine and Elatha take to you. Will they understand? The entire thing is stupid, and I lost my love of my life over this pursuit of power. The best thing to do, is nothing.
They all kill whoever might have begun apotheosis, thinking they are doing the world a service, however I know them, it is for nothing more than the neverending pursuit of greater power, so they may perhaps outlast everyone through the impending chaos.
#Help Her alliegence is for keeping what she has. She does not want to lose anymore. Perhaps there is more to know, she can help, but over all, she will prioritize survival, not risk the world.
#Star Star (Kava) is her daughter. She went missing looking for her father (Renaxis). She wanted to go dissuade him. She is a master of projection.
